Not a widely used axle configuration, but since DAF trucks are so popular in the UK, you can find a decent number of used 6×4 DAF trucks for sale on these pages. Chances are you will be looking for one of these trucks if you are involved in construction, road building or, if you are after a 6×4 DAF tractor unit you will be looking for a heavy haulage tractor unit – up to around 80 tonnes. The 6×4 DAF differs from the 6×2 version not by the number of axles – they both have three – but the 6×4 has two drive axles. Check out the full DAF model numbers to tell these 6×4 truck apart. The rigid trucks have ‘FAT’ in the models and the tractor units have ‘FTT’.
