As Mercedes trucks and vans are highly popular in the distribution segment, there are plenty of used examples of Mercedes box trucks for sale @Truckpages. Expect to find Sprinter Box vans in the under 6 tonnes segment. The lightweight trucks are covered by the Atego box truck range, whilst middleweight are covered by the Axor, Antos or Actros – depending on the year of truck you are looking for. The Axor was discontinued back in 2012 and the Antos was only made for a short while, being replaced by a smaller-cabbed version of the Actros. There are more Atego box trucks for sale than any other Mercedes model in the Truckpages listings. These are well spread across the model variants with 15 tonners available as well as 7.5 tonne box trucks – the most popular being the mainstream Atego 816. Old Axor 1824 models are still around – many heading overseas to the right hand drive export markets.
There’s no dipping a toe into the water here. If you run a mixed fleet of trucks and vans, you may expect one of the diesel vans to be relaced with an electric version for work inside London. Not so for London-based premium drinks supplier The Drinks Club. The company has decided that replacing their largest diesel – an 18 tonner – would reap the most significant benefits. As a result, their eActros is one of the first all-electric Mercedes heavy trucks to take to the UK’s roads. The 4x2 eActros 300 is now hard at work making daily deliveries…
A workwear specialist has broken with its previous policy of sourcing trucks from more than one manufacturer by placing a single, landmark order for Mercedes Atego trucks. Johnsons Workwear is already running the first dozen of the 60 new trucks that Ciceley Commercials is supplying. Not only does the operator’s revised acquisition strategy mean that for the first time every truck it has ordered this year will wear a three-pointed star, but forward planning means the same holds true for 2023 as well. “Mercedes-Benz already laid claim to more than half of our fleet of over 250 trucks, and has…
Just five years ago Ken White Distribution ran only Swedish-built trucks – today, all but three of its 26 vehicles wear the three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz. The Andover-based operator has gradually transformed the profile of its fleet by acquiring four or five new trucks each year from local Dealer Marshall Truck & Van. It has just added another 4x2 Actros tractor unit and a pair of 18-tonners from the same model range, which have box bodies by Wessex Vehicle Services, of Salisbury. As previously, Ken White Distribution secured competitive funding from Mercedes-Benz Finance and has signed-up to Complete Service Contracts.…
If you had a 7.5 tonner that had done 1.2 million miles in six years – a) you would have had your money’s worth and b) you would be highly likely to buy the same again. That helps to explain The Formula One Group’s most recent decision to buy another few of them. The company knows a winner when it sees one – which explains why the West Midlands-based fabricator and installer of premium-quality UPVC windows, doors and conservatories has been relying on Mercedes-Benz trucks since it began trading 24 years ago. The recent arrivals of another couple mean it…
