Find a great choice of walking floor trailers for sale (and the odd walking floor truck) here at Truckpages. If you have large bulk payloads to transport and tip, but don’t want the issues related to articulated tipping trailers, then the walking floor system could be the answer to your problem. The trailer is typically loaded from above with the roof sheeting retracted (from hoppers and silos is best) then after the roof sheet is closed and the truck arrives at its location to deliver the load, the rear doors are opened and the load is ‘walked’ to the rear of the body. The motion is carried out by a hydraulically operated ‘walking floor’ and requires no operator intervention. Remember that the tractor unit must have a ‘wet kit’ installed to operate the hydraulics.

The Norfolk-based aggregate supply specialist has now taken delivery of the first two CF 410 FAW sleeper-cabbed trucks from a total order of six units. Although there are thousands of 32 tonne 8x4 tippers on the UK roads, the problem that they suffer from is all about the tipping. There are sometimes height restrictions on site which means that the…
